Renewed
by a procedure she thought too advanced for Orangeburg.

Stacy knew it was just a matter of time before she would have to have a hysterectomy. But, as a working mother of 5-year-old twins, she put it off as long as she could. She simply didn’t have six to eight weeks to recover from the operation.

Her pain eventually became too much to endure. So, she resigned herself to the idea of surgery and asked her Orangeburg-based OB/GYN if he could perform the operation.

Much to her surprise, he told her he was part of a team of physicians who use advanced technology at the Regional Medical Center to perform the surgery laparoscopically. As some of the first physicians to perform this procedure in South Carolina, they could reduce her recovery from weeks to just days.

And, he did just that.

Now nothing slows her down, except maybe her kids.
